What & Why

The academy has no way to stay connected with athletes who age out or graduate. An alumni section keeps these relationships alive — showcasing success stories, enabling mentorship connections between current and former athletes, and maintaining the community brand. Alumni are a powerful referral channel and their stories inspire current players.

Done looks like

• Admins can designate an academy person as "Alumni" status from the command center, with graduation year and optional post-academy info (college team, club, achievements since leaving)
• A public-facing "Alumni Wall" page showcases alumni profiles with photos, graduation year, academy tenure, and their story/achievements
• Alumni can log in and update their own profile with current info (where they play now, college/career updates)
• Alumni profiles link back to their community profile for full volleyball journey history
• Current athletes can browse alumni by graduation year and see where past players ended up
• A "Featured Alumni" spotlight section on the academy home/landing area highlights 1-3 rotating alumni stories
• Alumni receive a periodic "Alumni Update" email nudge inviting them to update their profile and stay connected
• Admins can manage alumni from the command center (add, edit, feature/unfeature)

Out of scope

• Alumni-only events or registration discounts
• Alumni donation/fundraising functionality
• Alumni-to-athlete private messaging (existing community connections system handles this)
• Alumni job board or career networking
